Cannon County Schools to Dismiss at 1 PM on Wed., Apr. 6, 2022, Due to Severe Weather Threat

ESP After-school Program Cancelled and ALL Athletic Events Postponed

WOODBURY: Cannon County Schools will dismiss at 1 P,M today, Wed., Apr. 6, 2022 due to the threat of severe weather moving into Cannon County this afternoon. William Freddy Curtis, Director of Cannon County Schools, said, “Cannon County is in an elevated/enhanced category for severe weather later this Wednesday afternoon, and we desire to have our students safely at home before this severe weather moves into our area. Buses will leave Cannon County High School at 1 PM and arrive at our elementary schools at approximately 1:15 PM. Parent pickup will be available starting at 12:45 PM at each elementary school.”

In a related matter, due to the threat of severe weather today, the Cannon County Schools ESP After-school Program is cancelled, and all after-school athletic practices are cancelled for Wed., Apr. 6, 2022. Cannon County Schools apologizes for any inconvenience, and the safety of our students and personnel is always our utmost priority.
