WOODBURY – Cannon County Schools will be opening two hours LATE on Mon., Jan. 10, 2022, with bus driver discretion. Schools which have the early morning ESP program will open on-time for convenience of parents-guardians.
Director of Cannon County Schools, William Freddy Curtis said, “With temperatures dropping below freezing tonight and with much moisture on county roads, there is a strong probability of ‘black ice’ and hazardous driving conditions on Monday morning, Jan. 10, 2022. These two hours will allow our bus drivers to visually insure the road conditions after sunrise and warmer temperatures. Schools which have the early morning ESP program will open on-time for convenience of parents-guardians. The safety of our students and personnel is always our utmost priority.”
