The hospitals are getting the first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine for their staff. The Cannon County Health Department will be getting about 100 doses of Moderna in about a week for the health department and first responders only. Nursing home staff will be handled through the pharmacies. These are the priority 1a group.
Then the next group will be elderly, those with chronic conditions, and other medical providers but we are not that far along yet. The Health Department will be doing distribution through drive through like the testing.
Starting the week of the 21st we will only be testing Tuesday and Thursday to get ready for vaccine distribution.
