    Due to the inclement weather, the Cannon County Courthouse will be closed, January 3, 2022.

  • Cannon County COVID Vaccine Schedule Update

    Cannon County is currently in group 1b for COVID vaccine scheduling. This group includes school and childcare staff as well as other first responders. We are also vaccinating people 75 or older.

  • Order Extending State Of Emergency And Reinstating Suspension Of In-Person Court Proceedings

    The Supreme Court of Tennessee signed an Order on December 22 that all in person court proceedings were to cease for the Circuit, General Sessions and Juvenile Courts.

  • Gov. Bill Lee: Update on the COVID-19 Pandemic

    We have seen that Thanksgiving gatherings and extended time indoors have been the principal driver in spreading COVID-19 like wildfire. Tennessee cannot sustain a similar surge after the holidays. Tonight, I am asking you to make some hard decisions.

    The hospitals are getting the first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine for their staff. The Cannon County Health Department will be getting about 100 doses of Moderna in about a week for us and first responders only. Nursing home staff will be handled through the pharmacies.

  • COVID-19 Vaccine Update 1

    The expectation is that the first allocation of the Pfizer vaccine should arrive in Tennessee in mid-December, following approval of the Emergency Use Authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

  • Mandatory Mask Requirement

    In compliance with the Tennessee Supreme Court order (see attached photo of the order) the Cannon County Courthouse will require anyone entering inside the courthouse to wear a facial mask. There will be signs posted on the entrance doors explaining the requirement and a copy of the court order.
